Indelec provides lightning protection system iconic pagoda in Vietnam
Located in Ho Chi Minh City District 9, South Vietnam, the famous Chùa Bửu Long, which is also referred to as Chùa Thái Lan – Thai Pagoda, is an international Buddhist temple built in 1942. It was renovated in 2007 and three Prevectron Early Streamer Emission lightning rods were installed : one unit on the central stupa as well as two smaller units on secondary buildings.
In 2019, National Geographic ranked it as one of the top 20 most stunning pagodas in the world !
The pagoda is similar in style to what you see in Thailand and Myanmar. Buddhist temples in Vietnam tend to more East Asian in style with multiple stories. The temple practices the Theraveda branch of Buddhism like in Thailand.
With this new iconic project, INDELEC confirms its capability to provide Heritage Buildings with state-of-the-art lightning protection systems, preserving world heritage from the lightning devastating effects.
