Cable Car lightning protection using INDELEC Prevectron® air terminals

With more than 2.5 million visitors yearly, the Mahakali or Kalimata Temple is attracting very large crowds. The majority of pilgrims choose to walk all the way up to the top of the hill from Machi which is a strenuous climb and can take between two and half to three hours. Instead, the Cable Car ferries you to the top of the hill in just about six minutes.

INDELEC has been cooperating on this project from the initial design stages of the lightning protection system up to the completion of the installation with Prevectron lightning arresters located on the towers.
